With each opportunity I strive to bring a fresh, unique approach to my work. Known by my clients as Laurel Z, my energetic personality and professionalism continues to be an asset to every project.
My fashion career began at the age of 19 as a Student Photo Shoot Coordinator and Stylist for my local news paper. During my four years in college studying Fashion Merchandising I studied fashion abroad in London. It was there that I held an internship at Liberty of London as the Press Office Assistant, working directly with magazine publications such as Vogue UK and Glamour UK. Upon returning to the States I was hired for the position of Wardrobe Stylist and Photo Shoot Coordinator at Kohl’s Department Store and in 2006 I left Kohl’s to begin my freelance career as a Fashion Stylist. Over the years I have continued to refine my skills in both still photography and video, easily transitioning between editorial and commercial work. Although my career continues to take my skills from one side of the country to the other, my roots have stayed true to my midwest home just north of Chicago. I love every minute of my job and am grateful for the generous clients and teams I have the privileged to work with.
With over 10 years of styling experience as an artist local to London, New York, Chicago and Milwaukee I have developed a keen eye for detail and beauty. My diverse client list includes national and international brands along with published work in multiple magazines. I bring a strong editorial and commercial background to every job and I look forward to each new opportunity.
